Dennis Schmidt is a Senior Treasury and Cash Management professional with over 25 years of national and global experience in banking & treasury, cash management, risk management and project management. He is a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proven track record of success in a variety of treasury and cash management roles. He is a co-founder of the non-profit foundation Credit4Cuba, which aims to empower Cuban private entrepreneurs and support business / trade development. He is also a PIT (Platform Interim Treasury) board member, which is part of the Dutch Association of Corporate Treasurers (DACT).

In his previous role as European Treasury Manager at Albemarle Finance Company BV, Dennis was responsible for managing the EMEA Treasury function. He oversaw the relocation of treasury operations from SSC Budapest to the Treasury Department in the Netherlands, and was among others responsible for the POBO (payments-on-behalf) and COBO (collections-on-behalf) structure in SAP/S4Hana, the Global Multi-Currency Cashpools and he implemented a number of new treasury initiatives, including the implementation of a new global payroll account process as well as leading the global Interest Transfer Pricing alignment, from a Treasury perspective.

In his free time, Dennis enjoys spending time outdoorswith friends and family. He is a keen traveler, loves skiing and is an active roadbiker. He is a passionate family man though despite his wife’s efforts he cannot dance but can put up the ceiling very well with his hands.
