TreasurySpring also strengthens investor bench in line with demand from private fund managers, as Bridgepoint founder William Jackson becomes a shareholder and Eden Rock increases its stake in the business

LONDON, [5th November] – TreasurySpring, the global cash investment platform, today announces the appointment of Tom Callahan, CEO of Nasdaq Private Market, to its Board of Directors. Bridgepoint founder William Jackson has also become a shareholder, while existing shareholder Eden Rock Capital Management has increased its stake in the business.

The appointments and shareholder evolution reflects TreasurySpring’s growing international reach and ambitions across corporations, private markets and the wider alternatives sector. TreasurySpring’s platform and counterparty network now serve over 500 private fund entities out of its 1,100+ clients, with those managers collectively overseeing more than $500 billion in assets.

Investing cash held across multiple entities, jurisdictions, and currencies is a complex task for any treasury team, particularly for private funds. TreasurySpring simplifies this through a single operational relationship, providing access to a diverse universe of institutional cash investments, including tri-party and centrally cleared repo, across nine major currencies and all cash investment tenors.

Tom Callahan, CEO of Nasdaq Private Market, brings over 30 years of experience across institutional cash management and private markets. During eight years at BlackRock, he led the transformation of its Global Cash Management platform and served on the firm’s Global Operating Committee. He was previously CEO of NYSE Liffe US and spent 15 years at Merrill Lynch, including as Co-Head of Global Prime Brokerage and Head of Global Money Markets.

William Jackson founded Bridgepoint, the international alternative investment firm that manages $97.3bn in assets and led its expansion to 14 offices worldwide. His experience spans private equity and institutional investment, including through his role on the board of IFM Investors.

Eden Rock Capital Management, the London-based alternatives manager, is an existing shareholder with relationships across hedge funds and the wider alternatives sector. Its increased stake reflects continued confidence in TreasurySpring’s business and growth prospects.

Kevin Cook, Chief Executive Officer, TreasurySpring, said: “We’ve built an international business with clients across multiple sectors and geographies. An important part of that is our private funds business and we see a significant opportunity to build on the strong demand and serve a much larger part of that market.

Tom, William and Eden Rock bring their extensive market knowledge and networks to support our continued growth. Their confidence in TreasurySpring is a testament to the progress we’ve made and the opportunity ahead.”

Tom Callahan commented on his appointment: “It’s a privilege to join TreasurySpring’s board at this stage of its growth. The team has built a global client and counterparty network and established a strong presence among both corporations and private fund managers. The next phase is more ambitious still, to build on that position and play a much larger role in how institutions invest their cash.”

William Jackson, founder of Bridgepoint, added: “Cash held across the private fund ecosystem deserves the same discipline as the rest of a fund’s capital. TreasurySpring has demonstrated strong demand for a simpler way to invest it across complex structures. I’m delighted to have become a shareholder and look forward to helping the team to further scale their client reach.”
