At the core of this transition from Körber’s legacy system is RIVO’s AI-powered processing capability, which enables automated bank communication and streamlines Export Letter of Credit (LC) handling across multiple formats. Hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the platform uses Generative AI to interpret both structured and non-standard banking messages, allowing Körber to capture and register LC data more efficiently, reducing manual effort and the need for bank-specific technical handling. It is already leveraging this AI-driven approach to map EBICS messages and process Export LCs efficiently, significantly reducing manual effort and improving data consistency.

By connecting Körber Technologies with multiple banking partners, Surecomp’s cloud-native platform helps reduce complexity in bank communication and manual data handling. This supports greater process efficiency, improved data consistency and a more transparent basis for risk management and decision-making.

As part of the Körber Group, Körber Technologies operates in an international business environment and supplies high-performance tobacco processing machinery and solutions to customers in markets worldwide. Trade finance processes are therefore an important element in supporting secure, transparent and reliable international business transactions.

“By adopting RIVO™, we are strengthening our ability to manage complex trade finance processes with greater transparency, control and reliability,” said Kathrin Bross, Head of Governance, Risk & Assurance at Körber Technologies. “RIVO’s AI capabilities have not only enabled the smooth migration of historical and active transactions from our legacy system but will support scalability without adding operational complexity and risk.”

“This go-live demonstrates how intelligent automation can support complex trade finance environments,” said Tal Weiser, Chief Revenue Officer at Surecomp. “We are proud to support Körber Technologies in building a more automated, scalable and resilient trade finance operation.”
