Treasury Funding Specialist @ van Lanschot Kempen

Amsterdam – Full-time

In the position you will contribute to the capital markets funding of Van Lanschot Kempen.

As Treasury Funding Specialist you will be part of a team where you will get a lot of freedom and responsibility and can execute projects from A to Z. You will make the difference in maintaining relationships with institutional investors, investment banks, our legal advisors and interbank contacts.

That is what you like to use your talents for as a Funding Specialist at Van Lanschot Kempen. You provide capital market funding by structuring and issuing Covered Bonds and other (subordinated) debt instruments. Both in public transactions and private placements.

You will also have the opportunity to follow professional training and education. Both our organization and the field of work are constantly changing and this brings interesting opportunities and many challenges. It is up to you to identify these opportunities and seize them with both hands!

Furthermore, you will be busy with:

  • maintaining and structuring our four funding programs; two Covered Bond programs and two funding programs for unsecured debt instruments
  • monitor capital market and interest rate developments and advise the Asset & Liability Committee on these in order to subsequently implement funding decisions
  • maintaining the dialogue with rating agencies regarding the funding programs
    liaising as a team with institutional investors in our debt instruments and implementing Debt Investor Relations, in close cooperation with the Van Lanschot Kempen Investor Relations manager and the CFO
  • managing a white label residential mortgage loans portfolio.

Your talents

You are focused on maintaining relationships, both internal and external, you are entrepreneurial, results-oriented and analytical. This is how we can best describe you as a Treasury Funding Specialist. Talents that you use to keep the bank’s balance sheet solid. By thinking further and asking questions.

In addition, you have:

  • a completed University degree; (Business) Economics, Econometrics or a STEM study
  • at least 2 years of experience in the financial sector with knowledge and experience in financial markets, debt instruments and/or asset & liability management
  • knowledge of Dutch residential mortgages
  • interest in translating Van Lanschot Kempen’s sustainability strategy into capital market products
  • good knowledge of both Dutch and English, both oral and written.

The Treasury department employs 25 people, divided between Funding Management, Liquidity & Portfolio Management, Structured Products, FX Sales, Quant Efficiency and Data (QED) and Operations.
