Payments Specialist (m/f/n) @ Spuerkeess
Luxembourg – Full-time
As a Payments Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the bank’s compliance with payment regulations and ensuring the smooth running of payment systems.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Analyze and interpret the operating rules of payment systems/schemes
- Develop the strategic view in terms of the offering of payment products and services and ensure communication to other internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze regulations and closely monitor developments related to payments at national and international level
- Understand in depth relevant laws, regulations and standards
- Assess the risks associated with non-compliance with regulations and the potential penalties
- Identify areas where the bank may be vulnerable
- Develop crisis management plans to address compliance-related emergencies, such as data breaches or regulatory investigations
- Design strategies to ensure the bank complies with all regulations while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs
- Monitor industry trends, potential new regulations and technological developments that could impact payments
- Provide advice to the bank on the steps to take to comply with current regulations
- Prepare and manage compliance audits carried out by regulatory bodies or third parties
- Ensure the preparation of the necessary documentation
- Train department employees on payment regulations and how to comply with them
Required qualifications
- Holder of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar
- Professional experience in the field of payments
- Knowledge of payment systems such as Target, EBA Clearing and Swift
- Fluency in French and English; knowledge of Luxembourgish and German is an advantage
Technical skills
The acquisition of these skills can, based on demonstrated learning predispositions, be carried out through the supervision and training offered by the Bank during the taking up of office and the integration period.
