Join us as a Market Surveillance Cash Analyst in our International Graduate Programme (V.I.E)!
Are you ready to kickstart your career with the leading pan-European market infrastructure? Euronext is seeking a dynamic candidate to join our Market Surveillance team as an International Graduate (V.I.E) from August or September 2025 for an initial period of 12 months, in Amsterdam.
Market Surveillance Officers are spread across Amsterdam and Paris, and are cross-trained on Cash & Derivatives.
You will be primarily responsible for:
- Monitor all trading activities across Euronext financial markets (equities, bonds, derivatives, etc.) in real-time to identify potential market abuse, manipulation, or violations of trading rules.
- Analyze market anomalies, price fluctuations, trading volumes, and other key indicators to detect risks of malfunction or non-compliance with market rules.
- Review activity reports and alerts generated by surveillance systems, performing in-depth investigations to understand the underlying causes of incidents or irregularities.
- Perform all necessary functional checks throughout the day to ensure a smooth running of the market.
- Collaborate with compliance teams and external regulators to investigate potential breaches of market rules and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on detected incidents, provide recommendations for improving surveillance processes, and contribute to periodic regulatory reports.
- Stay up to date with the latest financial regulations and standards (e.g., MiFID II, MAR) and ensure surveillance practices are aligned with regulatory changes.
- Continuously look to improve & optimize our processes and various operational activities to increase the effectiveness and value we deliver to clients.
- Evaluating and selecting improvement opportunities that provide long-term value and minimize operational risks
Your profile:
- Master’s level student in finance or engineering or Grandes Ecoles (management or engineering). Finance majors are most suitable, thought other related fields are welcome.
- A first experience in finance is appreciated
- Strong verbal communication skills both in French and English
- Rigor, curiosity and willingness to learn
- Attention to detail while having the ability to see the big picture
- Proactive and autonomous
- Integrity and confidentiality are key requirements for this role
- Strong verbal communication skills both in French and English
- Good organizational skills and demonstrate a positive problem solving attitude when under pressure
- Team player with ability to work in a virtual team across locations
- Conceptual knowledge of most of the following areas: Trade Lifecycle, Exchanges, Cash & Derivatives products and Trading Procedures
- Learning capacities with basic IT knowledge
