Also, you might have noticed that we are big fans of the Treasurer Test, which helps treasurers in visualizing their skills and personality.
The original thought behind this online assessment stems purely from selecting the right candidate for the treasurer position, based on the fact that not everyone working in treasury has completed a dedicated treasury course or the right treasury knowledge. So how do you know if the candidate you hire is the right one?
Over time, the applications of the Test have expanded beyond recruitment purposes. Entire treasury teams took the assessment tool, and consultants were able to design treasury departments based on the clear visualizations of the treasury skills and personality traits that are shown in the report. In all of these cases, Tests have been acquired by employers.
Increasingly, we find that employees come to us, also in career calibration meetings with various questions like:
- “How am I doing in comparison to others in the treasury labour market?”
- “I am considering investing in a treasury training program, which one is the best fit for me?”
- “Do I have the personality type that matches people management tasks?”
With objective measurement through the Treasurer Test, combined with an extensive (telephone) meeting, these types of questions can be addressed even better than with a normal career calibration meeting.
