Originally from Liège, Belgium, Masquelier holds multiple degrees, including a master’s in law and tax law, and certifications in internal control and risk management. He is the President of the Luxembourg Association of Corporate Treasurers (ATEL) and Vice-Chairman of the European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT). An influential voice in treasury, he has authored over 300 articles and five books, contributing significantly to thought leadership in the field​
