I was surprised, but not surprised. Surprised that only 37% said AI and not surprised that almost ½ believe stablecoin is of value. A significant number foresee a dual future, harnessing both AI’s analytical power and blockchain’s instant, borderless transactions and regulations changes that are shaping up.

In my view, AI is a clear choice: AI is already reshaping finance, delivering smarter forecasts, automated risk assessments, and streamlined operations. It’s easy to adapt, you don’t need a techie or a system provider to effect change. It’s intuitive, powerful, and can adapt rapidly to changing scenarios.

Stablecoins: The Quiet Revolution? 

Despite AI’s popularity, stablecoins are something that about half of the treasurers are keeping an eye on. It can not be ignored. Their potential to simplify international transactions, reduce costs, and offer round-the-clock liquidity is profound. As soon as we achieve stability and/or clarity, acts are signed (yes, the US has three legislations on crypto and blockchain), we will see the change.

My advice: Don’t wait, experiment!

• Explore stablecoins: Start testing stablecoin payments in a controlled environment; they are coming.
• Innovate at the intersection: Consider how AI can enhance blockchain-based workflows.
