Treasury Business Partner – 6 Month Maternity Cover @ Booking.com

Amsterdam – temporary, 6 months

We are looking for a Treasury Business Partner for a fixed period of 6 months. You will report to the Head of Financial Services (Finance), you will oversee and steer the financial operating model and governance framework which enable Treasury and Financial Services team to interact with its various business partners and which consistently support the implementation of the business strategy.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for addressing products requirements across the spectrum of the Treasury and Financial Services functions, as a result of new commercial partnerships. Including in evaluating the economics and commercial impact and assessing the financial risk of new solutions.

B.Responsible

    • Responsible for understanding, implementing and managing new product and/or partner requirements and their impact on Treasury and Financial Services team;
    • Actively promotes and shares process improvement best practices and spread awareness of Treasury financial standards and priorities;
    • Map out the value chain deliverables and financial economics of each solution;
    • Assess Financial Risks (FX, liquidity and counterparts) attached to new products and or partners;
    • Assess whether existing Treasury and Financial Services products can be leveraged to support the business or whether new solutions or operating models are required to accommodate new requirements;
    • Coordinate the activities across the full Treasury team that are required to implement new products / partners;
    • Design the processes around the targeted solution and ensure metrics are built to measure and monitor performance, risk and return;
    • Working closely together with Treasury and Financial Services colleagues to optimise current core infrastructure (bank infrastructure, in-house bank, FX Hedging strategies) and maximise their operational efficiency and scalability;
    • Ongoing monitoring of regulatory landscape across strategic markets (i.e. EEA, US, China, Brazil, India) and advising the business about related risks and opportunities;
    • Continuously liaising with key stakeholders across the business to understand priorities, requirements and to providing feedback on progress from a Treasury/Finance perspective;
    • Work closely with specialists across the Treasury and wider Finance department to identify and implement best market practices and solutions for both partners and customers;
    • Identify opportunities to drive value through process automation and the elimination of process waste;
    • Management and execution of ad-hoc projects where required.

B.Skilled

    • A proven track record of 5+ years in corporate treasury or strategic finance environment;
    • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision;
    • Excellent English speaker with strong communication skills, able to adapt style and approach in order to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of different cultures;
    • Post-graduate Master degree/ specialized advanced diploma in Finance, Treasury Management is an advantage;
    • Strong systems knowledge and experiences with systems such as SWIFT, SAP/Reval TMS, S&P and Bloomberg;
    • Experience in Front Office or quantitative function is highly preferred;
    • Strong passion for innovation and technology;
    • Experienced in project implementation and/ or change management;
    • Broad knowledge of micro and macroeconomic factors, with the ability to translate these into risk-based decisions;
    • Able to demonstrate relentless tenacity to drive business objectives and deliver results;
    • Strong interpersonal skills;

    • Willingness to work flexibly, and undertake global travel when required by the business.

We are unable to offer relocation support for this vacancy because it is a 6 month maternity cover vacancy.
