Treasury Analyst @ Stryker

Amsterdam – Full-time

As an integral part of the European Treasury Team in Amsterdam, the Senior Treasury Analyst will be providing guidance on all relevant treasury related matters and support our European operation activities in all key Treasury areas, including liquidity, cash and working capital management, foreign exchange risk, treasury accounting, trade financing, bank administration and rationalization, global card program & compliance, acting as a strategic partner to European Shared Service Center for Treasury-related activities within Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounting to Report and Intercompany.

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Assist, monitor and coordinate current and future Corporate Treasury initiatives, including integration activities for newly acquired companies with regional business representatives and Shared Service Center
  • Build effective networking and act as partner driving automation and process improvement initiatives like payments automation, new implementations, system migration, process standardization and cash optimization.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of daily processes by developing process flows and performance metrics to continuously improve and refine treasury operations.


  • Assist the team with overseeing and maintaining the company’s bank relationships, annual reviews, manage the opening, closing and maintenance activities of bank accounts and signature levels, administration of banking portals/users
  • Assist the team with the periodical KYC refreshes and AML compliance
  • Support other Global/Corporate Treasury initiatives (card programs implementation, trade financing, fraud and security prevention, treasury technology tools)

Cash Management:

  • Coordinate the cash pool/repatriation initiatives across Europe, liaising with the stakeholders and Business representatives
  • Identify redundant accounts and opportunities for automation and consolidation, drive and coordinate investigation and actions to minimize the cash held on local banks, rationalizing the existing bank accounts and bank relationship structure


  • Consolidate, compile and analyze cash flow requirements for the European Headquarter with recommended actions and decisions, analyze future borrowing needs and other requirements to optimize borrowing availability and cost
  • Communicate and partner with subsidiaries, FP&A and other stakeholders to better understand activities of their business area to drive improvement in forecast accuracy and timing

Foreign exposure:

  • Assist in preparation, consolidation and analysis of routine monthly cash forecasts and weekly FX exposures
  • Liaise with other teams and departments to understand and resolve variances and operational issues
  • With direction and oversight from Corporate Treasury, perform regional foreign currency risk management activities including exposure projections and reporting, variance analyses, monitor foreign exchange and interest rate exposures, determine and develop drivers that assist in the creation and improvement of the Foreign exchange exposures reports


  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key balance sheet account positions including cash levels and inter-company balances; support the analysis and execution of approved intercompany movements and netting activities and other treasury related reports
  • Provide strategic reporting and analysis to Corporate Treasury and support global/Corporate Treasury initiatives

Other activities:

  • Review and approval of supplier’ banking details changes across Europe and maintain related data, reports and KPIs
  • Provide back-up support to the Treasury Director and Treasury Manager
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements initiatives, develop and maintain SOPs

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Treasury and experience with mid- to large-, publicly traded, multi-national corporate environment
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in finance or Accounting; MBA preferred
  • Other certification (CPA, ACT) is a plus

Skills and Competencies

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical, time management, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines, work in a team environment or independently
  • Highly motivated self-starter while working in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Treasury operations, foreign exchange, global banking and payment systems, cash management structures and tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)
