College Tour International Cash Management 2019

| 04-11-2019 | treasuryXL | Vrije Universiteit

The treasurer’s professional environment is changing rapidly. Alongside the classic management of capital flows, treasurers are confronted with ever-increasing legislation. In addition, fintechs and cryptocurrency offer solutions which compete with traditional banking services. The International Cash Management module of the RT programme covers these topics extensively, clustered in several units. The Cash Management Fundamentals unit includes working capital management, liquidity forecasting and liquidity management. In addition, the structure of international banking is covered in detail. The role of correspondent banking, the principles of international payments and the main payment systems are examined in depth. In this context, the module also deals with the information technology which businesses require to create the interface with banking payment systems. Naturally, this covers the latest technological developments, including blockchain. The module also expands on netting and cash pooling techniques, the relationship with financial institutions and the organisation of an international treasury department. An overview of the legal and fiscal aspects is also included. Case studies are used to supplement the extensive practical knowledge provided.

Instimatch Global digitaliseert geldmarkt met online network

| 25-10-2018 | by Instimatch Global | treasuryXL

How does liquidity forecasting accelerate growth: Cashforce @ DACT Treasury Fair

| 17-11-2017 | treasuryXL | Cashforce |

DACTThe DACT (Dutch association of Corporate Treasurers) will be holding their annual Treasury Fair in Noordwijk at the Hotel van Orange on 23rd and 24th November 2017 – the most important annual treasury event in the Netherlands. There are more than 50 exhibitors present at the Trade Fair including Cashforce – a partner of treasuryXL, who are also presenting a Workshop.

Company Profile

Cashforce is an innovative Cash & Treasury Management System, focused on automation and integration. As a ‘next-generation’ Cash management solution, Cashforce helps finance/treasury departments save time and money by offering accurate cash flow forecasting, flexible treasury reporting & automation.Cashforce is unique in its category, because it allows users to drill down to the transaction level details and the system integrates seamlessly with ERP systems & banking systems. In addition, an intelligent simulation engine enables companies to consider multiple cash flow scenarios and measure their impact. As a result, finance / treasury departments can be turned into business catalysts for cash generation opportunities throughout the company.

Workshop

Cashforce will be co-presenting a Workshop at 13:45, entitled How does Liquidity forecasting accelerate growth and what’s the role of the treasurer

The 2017 Global Treasury Benchmark Survey from PwC shows that companies worldwide hold a staggering $ 1.1 trillion (!) of excess liquidity in their business operations. These hidden liquidities can be tracked by an accurate and automated cash management and forecasting process. These can then be used to lower the company’s working capital or to realise additional growth.

Setting up an automated cash management & forecasting process has at last been made possible as a result of technological progress. Currently, 87% of treasurers still use manual spreadsheets. However, this process can be organised much more efficiently.

To demonstrate how this can be achieved, this workshop sets out the challenges of accurate cash flow forecasting, supported by a case study presented by the Interfood Group.

With $ 1.4 billion in annual revenue, Interfood is one of the leading global dairy traders and suppliers. Through 15 global offices worldwide, Interfood distributes over 800,000 MT of dairy products a year. Together with Cashforce, Interfood has set up an automated cash forecasting process. The case will be presented by Vincent Almering (Finance Director Interfood B.V.). Vincent has led the project from start to finish and acts as the key lynchpin for the different users (Traders / Treasury / Finance / CFO). Vincent will share the challenges and benefits of cash flow forecasting as well as his experiences. Finally, there will be a discussion on the main lessons learned, aimed at treasurers who are looking for a solution for an automated and accurate cash forecasting process.

Speakers: Vincent Almering, Financial Director Interfood B.V. – Nicolas Christiaen, CEO Cashforce. Moderator: Martijn Duijnstee, Manager Business Development Cashforce NL

Language: Dutch

Impressions after the DACT Treasury Fair 2016

|16-11-2016 | De Kiewit Treasurer Search, Treasury Intelligence Solutions GmbH, Cashforce |

talk

DACT Treasury Fair 2016, organised by the Dutch association of treasurers, is the most important annual treasury event in the Netherlands, where you can share treasury best practices, learn about the impact of latest trends and exchange experiences in a relaxed and informal environment.

After it closed its doors we asked four experts to give us their impression:

Pieter de Kiewit  –  Owner of  Treasurer Search

Pieter de KiewitWhen you have time for only one treasury event in The Netherlands per year, you should go to the DACT Treasury Beurs in Noordwijk.
For me and I think many others the Treasury Beurs 2016 was a continuation of a successful concept. I particularly enjoyed the masterclass by Professor Boot. He was able to include recent events, of course the election of Donald Trump, in his lecture giving me food for thought. An other aspect that was obvious is the increase of technology providers present. I think end users understand each separate solution but placing them in a bigger overview is not an easy task. One can also see that channel management is an issue for tech providers. Some of them make the connection to end users directly, others cooperate with sales partners or consultants. There is no standard. My final observation is that the current venue, Hotels van Oranje, will limit a further increase of the number of visitors. A luxury problem for the DACT, will we meet in Noordwijk again?

Jörg Wiemer – CSO Treasury Intelligence Solutions GmbH

The DACT event in the Netherlands was again a great opportunity for the TIS team to discuss the latest treasury trends, technology and challenges with the audience.

“Coming to Noordwijk is always a nice chance to meet with some of our existing customers here in the Netherlands as well as to network with other treasury professionals. The themes and painpoints are often similar, such as risk and fraud in treasury being a common topic this year. This allows us to gain a good feel for the marketplace as well as introduce our contacts to each other as part of the overall community,” says Jörg Wiemer, CEO of TIS.

The TIS team of corporate payments professionals looks forward to continuing the conversations started at this premier event in the Netherlands during the weeks to come.

Cashforce

hansdevriesLast Thursday night proved to be a great starting point for this year’s Dact event. A lot of delegates joined this meet and greet session at a perfect location for freely discussing the state of affairs. The next day offered a great variety of interesting items to be discussed like Block Chain, Brexit, alternative financing options, bank agnostic developments like CGI MP and of course the Notional Pooling evolution. Good thing was to have these new developments explained not only by the vendors but also by the corporate treasurers involved which resulted in lively discussions with delegates. During the breaks and afterwards we had the chance to discuss these items and of course the position of PowertoPay with quite a number of delegates we met in and around our stand.
