Global FX Trader @ JTI

Amstelveen – Full-time

This role is part of the Global Treasury Operations with accountability for centralized Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest rates (IR) trading and financial markets advisory and is one of its key members.

In this position, you will support Global Treasury Operations Team in the management of relationships with financial institutions to ensure ongoing effective support and contribute to the execution of operating requests from Regional Treasury teams. You will also have the Co-ownership of trading platforms’ maintenance in coordination with Treasury Technology and IT Teams. This position is operating not only for JTI but also for the rest of the Japan Tobacco Group.

What will you do – Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • do the execution of Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest rates (IR) risk-hedging transactions in line with the Group’s policies and procedures
  • provide FX/IR advice to capital markets activities and wider business
  • support Markets and Global Business Services center with trading matters, including regular trainings
  • contribute to the regression/integration testing for SAP FSCM for FX/IR within the context of Technology/IT projects
  • support internal/external audits concerning Global Treasury Operations
  • manage relationships with financial institutions involved in the provision of trading services to the Group, ensuring competitive pricing, superior solutions, and global support

Who are we looking for – Requirements:

  • Degree in economics/finance with CFA being a plus
  • Up to 10 years of FX and IR trading experience in an international environment with excellent knowledge of financial markets
  • Fluency in English (with Dutch/another language being a plus)
  • Excellent knowledge of currency markets
  • Exposure to interest rate trading
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP FSCM, FXAll/360T trading platforms and Bloomberg/Reuters
  • Superior Excel/PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
  • Work experience in virtual/network organisations internationally
