Analyst Treasury Lead / Manager Treasury @ Cooper Standard

Cooper Standard is looking for a Analyst Treasury Lead / Manager Treasury.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Global Treasury team, European local compliance teams, financial controllers in Europe, Director Tax & Treasury Europe, to operate and manage operational treasury activities of Europe,
  • Monitor daily cash balance and arrange funding as necessary to optimize liquidity and bank costs,
  • Monitor cash pooling activities and calculate cash pool benefit distributions,
  • Oversee Europe factoring activities weekly, adjust limits and support any regulatory reporting requirements,
  • Cash forecasting process, coordinate collection of weekly information from multiple sources in the Company and consolidate and distribute timely. Analysis of variances and focus on efficiency and process improvements,
  • FX trading, hedging and checking of bank confirmations in line with the Company’s FX and hedging policies for Europe region. Prepare and distribute month end hedging entries to the European locations,
  • ank and Treasury system administration, including maintaining up to date information on all the Europe bank accounts, including signers,
  • Contact with the banks to resolve, payment and funding issues and deal with any questions raised by the bank,
  • Work with the Global Treasury team on projects and initiatives to improve Treasury processes and considering automation and other improvements,
  • Deal with external & internal audit requests. Ensure compliance with the Company’s internal controls and also any external compliance requirements,
  • Support Director Tax & Treasury Europe on any Treasury matters and support any ad-hoc items as required from time to time.

Education / Experience

  • Degree level in relevant banking or Finance
  • Work experience: 4+ years in banking or corporate treasury department,

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong knowledge and experience with banking and treasury systems
  • Knowledge of accounting relevant to Treasury activities,
  • Financial modelling experience for cash forecasting and factoring processes,
  • Self-starter, pro-active attitude,
  • Practical problem solver,
  • Customer-focused,
  • Willingness and availability to travel up to 20%,
  • Used to working in multi-cultural environment,
